Anets Golf Course/Driving Range/Baseball Fields - Techny Road, Northbrook, IL
Take Waukegan Road (IL 43) 1 mile north of Willow Road to Founders Drive. Divine Word complex will be on the east side of Waukegan Road. Take Founders Drive west to Techny Road and continue about a mile west to the North Shore's Cross Paradise, located on the north side of Techny at Anets Golf Course/Driving Range.
Park in the Driving Range gravel lot. Register at the Picnic Pavilion.
Treat the park grounds with respect. We will not be allowed back if we leave a mess!
Pack it In/Pack it Out!

DO NOT RIDE BIKES ON THE GOLF COURSE!

USCF License required for CycloCross!

One Day USCF licenses available for $5.

USCF permit application pending.
All USCF rules apply.

Registration opens at 8:00 am and closes 15 minutes prior to each event.
Mountain bikes are welcome. Must remove bar ends from handlebars to race.
No pre-registration, late fees, or unattached rider fees.
$5 discount for second event. $10 discount for third event.
Racers under 18 years of age, must bring a parent/guardian to the race site to sign the release. A notarized release is the only other option. A USCF Athlete Release can be printed from the USA Cycling website: www.usacycling.org.
Helmets must be worn when warming up and racing with bikes.
**Pre race entry only for the SteepleCross and Dirty Double Cross. Contact Mark Harris at mark@dafinc.com for details. We need a minimum number of interested racers to meet our insurance costs, so if you want these events to happen, email the race director.

WHAT RACE SHOULD I ENTER?
C: USCF 4/5, Norba/WORS Beginner, or any first time cyclocross racer.
B: USCF 3, Norba/WORS Sport/Comp, or riders who have placed well in C races.
A: USCF 1/2, Norba/WORS Comp/Expert/Pro, or racers placing well in B races.

Furioesque Pain Threshold Index for Cross Racing
C=Painful, B=Truly very painful, A=Borderline, if not downright, excruciating
35+=No canes allowed, but bring the smelling salts.
45+=Leave the walkers at home, but bring the defibrillator.

SteepleCross & Dirty Double Cross

Cancelled Due to Lack of Pre-Registration!

Steeple Cross

Cross country running race with 12" tall barriers placed around the course that must be hopped.
 
Cyclo Cross
Combination of Road and Mountain Bike racing with dismounts required by barriers.
 
Dirty Double Cross
Similar to the Muddy Buddy or Ride N Tie. 2 people with one cross or mountain bike; alternate running and riding. Must start and finish as a team. Mandatory transition areas will be clearly marked.
